Along the Sunwapta River you will experience the challenging 10 km grade 3 Whitewater which is offered at Jasper National Park. This river is aptly named Sunwapta (turbulent waters). Your first half of the trip is gentle and scenic paddling. Well on the latter portion you will experience sustained Whitewater up to Class 3+. This run is tailored for adults who are physically fit and strong swimmers as it is incredibly challenging. Your Rafting tour will include National Park licensed guides, wet suits, life jackets, paddle jackets, neoprene booties. Wind pants, touques, neoprene mitts are available for inclement weather (the trip runs rain or shine).

How to get to this attraction:

This tour departs from the designated pickup point on Hazel Avenue, south side of the railroad tracks in the RV (recreational vehicle) parking lot. 

From the set of lights on Connaught Drive and Hazel Avenue head south over the train tracks; on the right-hand side is the RV parking lot next to Home Hardware.

For Guests outside Jasper, the meeting point will be at the parking lot 300 m (0.3 km) south of the Sunwapta Falls Resort on Highway 93.
