Mt Norquay Via Ferrata is located on a 10-minute drive from the Banff townsite on the cliffs above the Mt Norquay Ski Resort. On this guided high-alpine climbing experience you will be experiencing a different kind of mountaineering. This excursion is led by a certified guide. No climbing experience is required for this excursion. Climbers make their way up to the cliffs above the Banff Mt. Norquay ski area which is guided by a series of cables, fixed anchors, and ladders. On this excursion highlights include open air chairlift ride, climbing a rock face, viewing boardwalk, and sightseeing platform. This 2-hour loop takes you up to 2,235 metres above sea level and is great for those who are slightly limited on time or are looking for an introduction to Via Ferrata. This excursion is a Signature Experience with Destination Canada on which your equipment orientation, safety equipment and helmet are included.
