Whistler - Aerial Obstacle Course


Traveling from tree-to-tree while securely harnessed in, guests navigate through a variety of elements including suspended bridges, swinging logs, Tarzan swings, ziplines and tightropes. The courses are colour coded and increase in height and level of difficulty. Exit points along the way allow everyone to take it to their personal limit, making this activity suitable for a wide range of guests at various fitness levels. Featuring a continuous security system, guests travel through the elements while self-managing their risk at their own pace.


Beginner Course

Ease your way into to the world of obstacle courses with an introductory level experience that takes you through the green and blue sections, giving you the perfect initiation to balancing on wobbly log bridges and negotiating creative physical challenges. This entry-level experience is a 1.5 hour tour, allowing you to get a taste of adventure that makes success very attainable. Your guide will be there for support from the forest floor below any time you need a helpful tip or words of encouragement, as you maneuver through an assortment of high ropes elements. This adult sized forest playground will have you smiling for days

Advanced Course

Challenge yourself with the Advanced Aerial Obstacle Course on the black, double black and red sections of he course only, allowing you to discover your limits without the easy and time-consuming stuff as a warmup. This high-level tour is a 2 hour experience, where you can really push yourself through the hardest parts of the course. Your guide will be there cheering you on from below as you navigate a variety of features, from balance beams to rope swings and cargo nets that reach heights of up to 60 feet above the forest floor. Rise to the challenge and experience the canopy from an elevated perspective.

Course Sections: Black, Double Black, Red

Tour Length: 2 Hours

Full Course

Reserved exclusively for those seeking supreme adventure, this full course includes the green, blue, black, double black and red sections, reaching heights of up to 60 feet. Maneuver the treetops through a cargo net crossing, over swinging logs and across the high monkey bars before feeling the ultimate sensation of primal release - the ‘unleashing’ of wild, as you reach the final platform by descending from the trees. 

Participants must be able to reach 5’11” (180 cm) with their heels on the ground to enter this course.

Course Sections: Green, Blue, Black, Double Black, Red.

Tour Length: 2.5-3.5 hours depending on the individual.

Kids Course

Designed just for children ages 7 to 13 years, this is an early exploration into swinging through the trees, with fun games designed for those younger adventurers. Obstacles such as a climbing wall, cargo net and suspension bridge bring kids back to the playground!

Kids must be 7 years of age and able to reach to 4’7” (140 cm) with their heels on the ground to enter this course.

Course Sections: Yellow

Tour Length: 1.5-2 hours depending on the individual

Minimum To Run Tour: 2 pax 

Maximum Per Tour: 12 pax if demand warrants

Location: Cougar Mountain.

Guest to Guide Ratio: 1 course facilitator for every 12 guests.

Restrictions: 

FULL – Minimum age 7 years old and able to reach 180cm / 5’11” with their heels on the ground. Kids aged 7-15 must have 1 adult supervising either from the ground or in the trees (ratio 1:10). Guests must be able fit into a 110cm / 43” waist climbing harness.

KIDS – Between 7-13 years of age and able to reach 140cm / 4’7” with their heels on the ground. Guests must be supervised from the ground by an adult at all times (ratio 1:10).

Suggested Clothing:  Comfortable, athletic clothing appropriate for the weather. No loose clothing or large pieces of jewelry. Long hair must be tied back and must wear close-toed shoes. Fingerless athletic gloves suggested.

  • Waivers are required for all tours and you must have a legal parent or guardian signature if you are under 16 years of age. FIT clients sign waivers at an Adventure Group activity office. At least one person in each group must be able to read, speak or translate into English. Groups, where possible, will sign waivers at the hotel with a TAG staff member present.

Notes about this Tour

  • The operation of this tour is weather dependent.   
  • Operators reserve the right to cancel this tour without prior notice.
  • Tour Times vary throughout the season, please check with us for times on a specific date.
  • Waivers:  Waivers are required for all tours and you must have a legal parent or guardian signature if you are under 16 years of age. FIT clients sign waivers at an Adventure Group activity office. At least one person in each group must be able to read, speak or translate into English. Groups, where possible, will sign waivers at the hotel with a TAG staff member present.
  • Transportation & Hotel Pickup: Not provided, please meet at Cougar Mountain Basecamp.  
  • Meeting Location: Meet at your scheduled tour time at Cougar Mountain Basecamp. Follow your map app of choice to Cougar Mountain Road, Whistler BC, just a 10 minute drive from Whistler Village. After turning off the highway, a short uphill drive through the forest will take you to the basecamp.
  • Suggested Clothing: Dress appropriately for the weather and the tour. It is recommended that guests dress in layers and bring sunscreen and warm layers for tours in the alpine. Weather can change quickly and without notice. 
  • Chaperone Policy: Ages 12 and under: require a chaperone age 19+ on tour with them.  Ages 13-15: require an adult chaperone 19+ to be at Cougar Mountain Base for the duration of the tour. For rafting activities, a chaperone is required to be on tour with anyone under the age of 16. For the Treetop Adventure, an adult chaperone 19+ is required to supervise youth ages 7-15 years old either participating in the activity or on the ground.  Ages 16+: Able to join all tours without a chaperone, granted the minimum requirements for the tour are met. For example, they must hold a valid driver’s license on RZR/Snowmobile tours.
  • First Aid: Guides for motorized activities have a valid 80-hour first aid certificate. Guides for non-motorized activities have a minimum 16-hour first aid certificate. Head river rafting guides are swift-water rescue certified and all have between 16-80 hour first aid certificates.
  • Intoxicants, Drugs & Alcohol: There is a zero-tolerance policy for any drugs or alcohol consumed prior to or during any activities. The Adventure Group reserves the right to cancel tours if there is any indication that guests are under the influence.
  • Languages: TAG tours are presented in English. Other languages or a translator may be available upon request.
