Explore some of the most rugged coastline in British Columbia. Start your day with a visit to Horseshoe Bay, a seaside community. Horseshoe Bay lies at the mouth of Howe Sound and represents the beginning of the Sea to Sky Highway, which connects Vancouver and Whistler. The voyage continues north from Horseshoe Bay, following Howe Sound to our next stop, the breathtaking Sea to Sky Gondola. Your views change radically after a thrilling 10-minute ride to the top of Habrich Ridge, ascending above the towering canopy of a coastal rainforest and upward above Howe Sound and the neighboring mountains. Spend your free time at the peak walking the boardwalks, hiking the local trails, taking incredible shots of the panoramic views, or grabbing a quick food from the shop. Shannon Falls is a magnificent waterfall located just a short distance from the gondola's base. Shannon Falls, at 335 meters, is British Columbia's third highest waterfall. Continue south on the picturesque highway, stopping at the Britannia Mine Museum along the way. The museum is a National Historic Site that offers guided mine tours, gold panning, and a variety of displays that all focus on the history of mining. Return to downtown Vancouver after a fantastic day of touring.
Would like to see the craggy shoreline of Howe Sound from the water? Take a 1-hour water adventure by Zodiac from Horseshoe Bay to Britannia Beach as an add-on to the Sea to Sky Highlights trip. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see aquatic life up close. On the excursion, seals are a common sighting. Continue to the Sea to Sky Gondola after meeting up with the rest of the group at Britannia Beach. The tour option will include a Mustang Integrity Suit, gloves, and weather goggles because guests will all be getting wet. This tour is not suitable for pregnant women, anyone who have had back difficulties in the past, or children under the age of 5.
