This afternoon arrive at
YYC, Calgary’s International Airport.
After collecting your bags, proceed to the shuttle desk at the airport
for your pre-booked transfer to the mountain resort of Banff, AB. The drive to Banff
takes approximately 2 hours and as you leave the pains, you will get your first
glimpse of the Candian Rockies.
With Mt. Rundle and Mt.
Cascade, part of the Rocky Mountains, dominating its skyline, the resort town
of Banff is by far the largest town in the Rockies. Banff features chateau
style hotels, plenty of shops and dining options and a range of sightseeing and
soft adventure options.
On arrival in Banff, check
into your hotel. Rest of the day free to
explore Banff Avenue with its many shops and restaurants on your own.
Today we go one full guided small group tour of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Located inside the Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the lakes are well-known for their distinct turquoise hues. On this tour, you will get an insight into the area’s mountaineering history. You will have a chance to admire the beauty of the views of the Valley of Ten Peaks. The tour offers you plenty of time for postcard picture photos. Maple cookie snack, fresh water is offered on the tour.

This morning we check-out of our hotel and depart for
Jasper. This 11-hour one-way tour from Banff to
Jasper takes you through some of the most spectacular mountain
landscapes in North America. Following the spine of the Canadian Rockies, you
will witness a never-ending procession of mammoth mountains, jagged snowy
peaks, and numerous glaciers. The entire day is spent in the beautiful majesty
of Canada’s two most famous National Parks, Banff, and Jasper. Sightseeing stops along this beautiful
highway will include Lake Louise, Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake, the Columbia Ice
fields, the Weeping Wall and Athabasca Falls.
At the Columbia Icefield we will stop for about 4-hours
giving you ample time to partake in the
world-famous Ice explorer tour onto the Athabasca Glacier and explore the
Glacier Skywalk over- looking the Sunwapta Valley. You may also choose to enjoy
the interpretive exhibits at the Columbia Icefield Centre or take a short,
guided walk to a scenic viewpoint. Picnic lunch is included on this tour.
