Spend the rest of the evening exploring downtown Vancouver at your own space.

Overnight in Vancouver, BC.
This tour of Vancouver's culturally diverse city begins with a tour of prominent downtown attractions such as Canada Place and Robson Street. On the way to Stanley Park, a 1,000-acre natural paradise bordered by the Pacific Ocean, pass through historic and modern architectural masterpieces, including the 2010 Olympic Cauldron. Continue to the breathtaking scenery of the English Bay beach region, followed by a visit to the gorgeous Queen Elizabeth Park, after a stop at the Rose Garden. It is Vancouver's highest point, at 152 meters above sea level, and offers amazing views of the park, city, and mountains on the North Shore.

Continuing on your adventure, you will arrive in Chinatown, which is one of the world's largest. A historical classification preserves the distinctive character of buildings, including murals and window art telling the story of early Chinese pioneers. Then it's on to Gastown, where cobblestone lanes are lined with restaurants serving up the best of modern cuisine, art galleries, and fashionable boutiques, all set against vintage lampposts and the renowned Gastown Steam Clock.

Capilano bridge is 27 acres of nature and adventure tucked away in North Vancouver, just 30-minutes from downtown Vancouver.  One of the most popular destinations for both Vancouverites and visitors, the park offers three different experiences with a single admission ticket – the Suspension Bridge, Treetops, and the Cliff Walk.

The main attraction of this park set in rainforest landscape, is the 450 feet (137 meters) long bridge suspended 230 feet (70 meters) above the Capilano River. Millions of daring visitors have taken a walk across this suspension bridge since its opening in 1889.

The Treetops Adventure consists of a series of suspension bridges attached to 30-ton, 250-year-old Douglas-firs.  Viewing platforms are attached to a special tree collar system that uses no nails or bolts that would harm the trees and allows visitors to walk freely between the viewing platforms.  The bridges go as high as 110 feet above the forest floor and offer spectacular views.

Reaching out over the misty expanse of evergreen foliage, the Cliff Walk follows the granite walls of the Capilano River.  A labyrinth-like series of narrow cantilevered bridges, stairs, and platforms through rainforest vegetation, the Cliff Walk dares visitors to tread out over the open canyon below to get a birds-eye view of the canyon and the river running below. Of course, the Cliff Walk is not meant for the weak-hearted.

Overnight in Vancouver, BC.
Optional Tour of Sea to Sky Gondola + Whistler
Travel from the Howe Sound fjord's gorgeous shore to the lush, forested peaks of the Coast Mountains. This get-away from the city is a fantastic way to see the natural treasures that surround Vancouver and Whistler. Explore the ever-changing landscapes of the Sea to Sky Highway, which includes a beautiful stop at the 335-meter Shannon Falls.

The breathtaking Sea to Sky Gondola is our next destination. Your views change radically after a thrilling 10-minute ride to the top of Habrich Ridge, ascending above the towering canopy of a coastal rainforest and upward above Howe Sound and the neighboring mountains. Spend your free time at the peak wandering the boardwalks, hiking the local trails, taking incredible shots of the panoramic views, or grabbing a quick food from the shop. Pass through the charming town of Squamish after your mountain high adventure.

Climbers and backcountry adventurers consider it an outdoor paradise. Squamish is situated at the most northerly tip of the Howe Sound, providing breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean. Continue your trek to Whistler, taking in views of the Tantalus Glacier along the way. The pedestrian village of Whistler-Blackcomb is situated at the base of the world-famous Whistler-Blackcomb Mountains. This world-famous ski resort also hosted a number of outdoor Olympic athletic events in 2010. Spend your day wandering through the diverse downtown shops and cafes, hiking along nature trails, or simply relaxing and taking in the fresh mountain air. As the coach descends from towering peaks via rugged coastline to metropolitan cityscapes on its journey back to Vancouver, mountains give way to ocean.
