The 8 days Pacific Coast Explorer tour takes you on an unforgettable journey through the beautiful coastal regions of California, Oregon, and Washington. You'll drive along the stunning Pacific Coast Highway, exploring charming coastal towns like Mendocino and Cannon Beach. Along the way, you'll also have the opportunity to visit iconic attractions like the Golden Gate Bridge, the Tillamook Cheese Factory, and the Redwood National and State Parks. With a mix of scenic drives, outdoor adventures, and cultural experiences, this tour is the perfect way to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Pacific Coast.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Seattle. Pick up Rental Car & proceed to Forks.

Driving Distance: 139 Miles | 4 ½ hours

This morning, arrive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). After you have picked up your bags, proceed to the Car Rental office. You will present the confirmation voucher along with your valid Driver's License and credit card to rent your pre-paid rental car.

Once you pick up your car, drive to Forks.

Overnight in Forks, WA.

Day 2: Drive the Pacific Coast of Olympic National Park.

Driving Distance: 184 Miles | 4 ½ hours

The drive from Olympic National Park to Astoria is a scenic journey through the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Starting in the lush forests and alpine meadows of Olympic National Park, the drive takes you through charming small towns, past sweeping ocean views, and finally to the historic town of Astoria at the mouth of the Columbia River. Along the way, you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and attractions, making it a perfect road trip for nature lovers and history buffs alike.

Day 3: Continue south along the coast of Washington crossing into Oregon.

Driving Distance: 133 Miles | 3 ½ hours

Embark on an unforgettable road trip from Astoria to Newport. Start your day with panoramic views from the Astoria Column before heading to Cannon Beach to explore the picturesque Haystack Rock. Make a stop at the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory and indulge in delicious cheese and ice cream samples. Continue your drive towards Newport and spend the night in this charming coastal town. Explore the Oregon Coast Aquarium and visit the iconic Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Savor the local seafood and soak in the stunning ocean views before calling it a night. This road trip offers a perfect mix of natural beauty and cultural attractions for a memorable journey.

Day 4: Drive towards Depoe Bay and take a whale watching tour.

Driving Distance: 50 Miles | 1 ½ hours

Embark on an exciting road trip along the Oregon Coast from Yaquina Head Lighthouse to Florence. Begin your day exploring the tide pools and admiring the scenic views at the lighthouse. Next, head to Depoe Bay for an unforgettable whale watching tour. Keep an eye out for majestic marine mammals as they migrate along the coast.

As you continue driving towards Florence, don't miss the chance to visit the stunning Cape Perpetua and the historic Heceta Head Lighthouse. Cape Perpetua offers breathtaking views of the ocean from atop towering cliffs, while the lighthouse provides panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Finally, spend the night in Florence, a charming town located on the picturesque Siuslaw River. Take a leisurely stroll along the riverfront and explore the local shops and restaurants before retiring for the night.

Day 5: Head out to Patricks Point State Park and Trinidad State Beach

Driving Distance: 408 Miles | 8 ½ hours

Embark on a scenic road trip starting with a drive towards the charming town of Bandon. Take in the picturesque views of the Oregon coastline and spend some time exploring the town's beautiful beaches.

Next, head south towards the Redwood National and State Parks. The parks are home to towering redwoods, diverse wildlife, and scenic trails perfect for hiking. Take in the majestic beauty of the forest as you hike along the trails.

After your hike, continue your journey towards the quaint and historic village of Mendocino. Located on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Mendocino offers breathtaking views, unique boutiques, art galleries, and a variety of dining options. Spend the night in Mendocino and enjoy the peaceful and tranquil surroundings.

Day 6: Explore Mendocino town. Drive towards Point Reyes National Seashore and hike some of the scenic trails.

Driving Distance: 154 Miles | 3 ½ hours

Begin your day with an exploration of the charming town of Mendocino and its vibrant art scene. Take a stroll through the town's art galleries, soak in the picturesque views of the coastline, and indulge in a delicious cup of coffee or a meal at one of the local cafes.

After exploring Mendocino, drive towards the Point Reyes National Seashore, where you can hike some of the park's scenic trails. Enjoy the rugged coastal landscape, pristine beaches, and an array of wildlife, including elk, whales, and sea lions.

As the day comes to a close, continue your journey towards San Francisco. Cross the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and marvel at the breathtaking views of the city's skyline and the bay.

Spend the night in San Francisco, a vibrant city with a world-renowned dining and entertainment scene. Take in the sights of famous attractions like Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, and the Golden Gate Park.

Day 7: Self guided tour of San Francisco & Napa Valley

Driving Distance: 574 KM | 10 hours

Explore San Francisco's landmarks, neighborhoods and waterfronts starting at Golden Gate Park with de Young Museum and California Academy of Sciences, before heading to the lively Fisherman's Wharf and the foodie paradise of Ferry Building. Then drive to Napa Valley, one of the world's premier wine regions, where you can visit celebrated wineries and tasting rooms, and savor the flavors of the finest wines. Take a break in charming Yountville to indulge in a Michelin-starred meal or explore its art galleries and boutique shops. Enjoy a self-guided tour to experience the beauty and diversity of Northern California's iconic destinations and make unforgettable memories.

Day 8: Drive to SFO. End of tour.

Today is the last day of your tour. After having breakfast, you will need to check out of the hotel and drive to San Francisco airport.

Upon arriving at the airport, you can drop off your car and check-in for your flight. It has been a wonderful trip that has left many great memories for you!
