Day 1: Arrive in Whitehorse and Begin Your Yukon Journey

Welcome to the Yukon! As you arrive in Whitehorse, the heart of your Arctic adventure, your guide will warmly greet you and take you to a cozy hotel downtown. After settling in, we’ll have a short meeting to go over the exciting days ahead. Get ready to explore breathtaking wilderness, cross the Arctic Circle, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 2: Discover Whitehorse: Wildlife, History, and Hot Springs

Highlights of the Day:

Explore Whitehorse, a cozy town amid vast nature.
Visit SS Klondike National Historic Site and learn its history.
View moose and bison at Yukon Wildlife Preserve.
Enjoy a soak in Takhini Hot Pools and glimpse the Lights.

Discover Whitehorse, a charming town nestled in the heart of the Yukon wilderness. Begin your day with a tour of the city, including the historic SS Klondike National Historic Site. Next, visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve to see moose, bison, and arctic foxes in their natural habitat. Day 3: Journey to Dawson City: Klondike Gold Rush Adventure

Day 4: Discover Dawson City: Bonanza Creek & Midnight Dome

Day 5: Dawson to Eagle Plains: Scenic Drive & Northern Lights

Leaving Dawson City, travel through the stunning Ogilvie Mountains and Tombstone Territorial Park, known for its dramatic landscapes. Day 6: Explore Inuvik: Arctic Circle, Mountains & Coast

Reach Inuvik, the hub of the western Arctic.

Today, we cross the Arctic Circle, marking this moment with a special celebration. Journey through the majestic Richardson Mountains before descending to the arctic coastal tundra. Visit the historic indigenous communities of Fort McPherson and Tsiigehtchic, before arriving in Inuvik, the heart of the western Arctic. Here, you’ll explore the “Place of People” and immerse in its unique culture.

Day 7: Ice Road Adventure: Inuvik to Aklavik & Dogsledding

Cross the frozen Mackenzie Delta via Ice Road to Aklavik.

Day 8: Journey to Tuktoyaktuk & the Arctic Ocean

Experience muktuk and mipku with a local Inuvialuit family.

Head north today to the coastal village of Tuktoyaktuk, where you'll witness the natural wonder of the pingos. Experience the warmth of Inuvialuit hospitality as you’re invited to taste traditional foods like muktuk and mipku. It's a day filled with cultural immersion and exploration, offering a unique glimpse into life in the Arctic.

Day 9: Inuvik Farewell & Scenic Whitehorse Afternoon

Stop by Inuvik's historic Igloo Church.
Fly to Whitehorse with free time in the afternoon.
Explore Whitehorse or relax as the day concludes.

Start the day with a visit to Inuvik’s famous Igloo Church, an architectural marvel of the Arctic. Then, catch a flight back to Whitehorse, where the afternoon is free for you to unwind, explore more of the town, or shop for unique souvenirs. It's a relaxing end to your Arctic journey, with time to reflect on your adventure.
