Day 1: Arrive in Anchorage.

Arrive at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) this afternoon. Transfer to your hotel using hotel’s courtesy shuttle.

Overnight in Anchorage, AK

Day 2: Tour of Anchorage and transfer to Valdez.

Highlights of the day:

Tour of Anchorage.
Visit Lake Hood and Earthquake Park. Alaska Native Heritage Center.
Cruise the scenic waters of Prince William Sound from Whittier to Valdez.

Embark on a tour of Anchorage; and discover the city's rich history and culture this morning. Your tour will include the historic downtown area, and visits to Lake Hood, and Earthquake Park, where you will learn about the 1964 earthquake that shook the city. You will also an opportunity to learn about the traditions and customs of Alaska's native people at the Alaska Native Heritage Centre.

Leaving Anchorage behind, your tour will travel south along the breathtaking Seward Highway to the port town of Whittier. Here, you will board a cruiser for a scenic journey through the stunning Prince William Sound to the picturesque town of Valdez. The clear waters of Prince William Sound are home to a variety of marine life. The towering mountains and glaciers that surround the waters provide an unforgettable backdrop.

As you cruise through the Sound, keep your eyes peeled for whales, sea otters, and seals. Admire the breathtaking views of glaciers, fjords, and forests. The journey is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

On arrival in Valdez, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the evening in this charming town surrounded by natural beauty.

Day 3: Tour through Wrangell- St. Elias National Park to Fairbanks.

This morning, post a delicious breakfast, get ready to board your motorcoach and head north towards the heart of Alaska. Your destination today is the city of Fairbanks, the largest city in the interior region and a hub for adventure and exploration.

Fairbanks is often called the "Golden Heart City" by Alaskans, and for a good reason. It's a vibrant and welcoming place that offers plenty of opportunities to learn about Alaska's unique culture and history, as well as to experience the natural beauty of the Last Frontier.

As you journey towards Fairbanks, you'll have the chance to soak in the stunning scenery of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest national park in the United States. This incredible landscape is home to towering mountains, massive glaciers, and a rich diversity of wildlife, making it a must-see destination for any nature lover.

Day 4: Sightseeing tour of Fairbanks

Highlights of the day:

Visit to the University of Alaska, and Fairbanks Museum.
Cruise on the Chena River aboard a Sternwheeler and experience the thrill of river travel.

Embark on a sightseeing tour of Fairbanks, that explores how the Gold Rush affected Alaska's interior. Your tour includes a visit to the University of Alaska, Fairbanks Museum where you will learn about the history of the area and its people. Later enjoy some free time for shopping, just walking around or dine in the downtown area.

Experience the thrill of river travel by boarding a sternwheeler for a cruise on the Chena River. This will take you back in time to when traditional riverboats plied the waterways of Alaska's interior during the late 1800s.

In the evening, you have the option (not included in your tour package) to partake in an authentic Salmon Bake. Indulge in fresh salmon cooked over an open flame while enjoying the company of your fellow travelers. This is the perfect way to end your day in Fairbanks.

Day 5: Denali National Park.

Once there, you'll have an afternoon of exploration at your leisure, with the option to participate in complimentary park service activities or optional tours. Exciting optional tours (not included in your tour package) include mild or wild rafting on the wild rivers of the park, a scenic flight, a thrilling jet boat safari on the Nenana River, or a visit to an Iditarod Champion’s award-winning dog kennel. Enjoy the natural beauty of this pristine area and choose the adventure that suits your interests. The park is also home to an incredible array of wildlife, including grizzly bears, moose, caribou, and wolves and you can opt for an optional narrated or non-narrated bus tour to watch wildlife. Day 7: Deluxe Dome Railcar tour to Talkeetna.

Scenic tour transfer from Talkeetna to Anchorage.

This morning, our coach will transfer you to the Denali Rail Depot. Here, you will board the train for a Deluxe Dome Railcar Journey to Talkeetna. During the scenic transfer, keep an eye out for a glimpse of Denali (formerly known as Mt. McKinley) or black bears along the banks of the Susitna River.

Upon arrival in Talkeetna, our deluxe motorcoach will pick you up for a scenic transfer south to Anchorage. The journey will take you through some of the most stunning scenery that Alaska has to offer, including majestic mountains, pristine rivers, and dense forests.

Gratuities to Tour Directors and Drivers are not included. Gratuity of US $9 per person, per day for the tour director and US $7 per person, per day for the driver will apply and must be paid to Tour Director at the start of the tour.
Travel Insurance – highly recommended. If client declines your offer to sell Travel Insurance, you are required to secure a Liability Waiver signed by the client that you must provide us on demand. We sell Travel Insurance to residents of Ontario. Non-residents of Ontario as well as clients from abroad must purchase Travel Insurance in the province/state/country where they reside.
