Embark on a tour of Anchorage; and discover the city's rich history and culture this morning. Your tour will include the historic downtown area, and visits to Lake Hood, and Earthquake Park, where you will learn about the 1964 earthquake that shook the city.  You will also an opportunity to learn about the traditions and customs of Alaska's native people at the Alaska Native Heritage Centre.

Leaving Anchorage behind, your tour will travel south along the breathtaking Seward Highway to the port town of Whittier.  Here, you will board a cruiser for a scenic journey through the stunning Prince William Sound to the picturesque town of Valdez. The clear waters of Prince William Sound are home to a variety of marine life.  The towering mountains and glaciers that surround the waters provide an unforgettable backdrop.

As you cruise through the Sound, keep your eyes peeled for whales, sea otters, and seals. Admire the breathtaking views of glaciers, fjords, and forests. The journey is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This morning, our coach will transfer you to the Denali Rail Depot.  Here, you will board the train for a Deluxe Dome Railcar Journey to Talkeetna. During the scenic transfer, keep an eye out for a glimpse of Denali (formerly known as Mt. McKinley) or black bears along the banks of the Susitna River.

Upon arrival in Talkeetna, our deluxe motorcoach will pick you up for a scenic transfer south to Anchorage. The journey will take you through some of the most stunning scenery that Alaska has to offer, including majestic mountains, pristine rivers, and dense forests.
